Peran Peran Guru Bimbingan Konseling dalam Mengatasi Kesulitan Belajar Siswa pada Masa Pandemi Covid-19 di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Indragiri Hilir
Abstract
This research aimed at knowing 1) the role of guidance and counseling teachers in resolving student learning difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic, 2) supporting and obstructing factors of counseling teachers in resolving student learning difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic at State Islamic Senior High School 1 Indragiri Hilir. It was a descriptive qualitative research. The main informants of this research were 2 guidance and counseling teachers, and 4 students who experienced learning difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic and the additional informants were 2 homeroom teachers. Interview and documentation techniques were used for collecting the data. The data were analyzed descriptively. The findings of this research showed that 1) the role of guidance and counseling teachers in resolving student learning difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic: a) calling students to conduct individual counseling for students who experienced learning difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic, b) facilitating students in getting free internet quota during the covid-19 Pandemic, c) collaborating the subject and homeroom teachers in resolving student learning difficulties during the covid-19 pandemic. The supporting factors were a) students had the intentions and desire to change to be better, b) peers participation in helping students who experienced learning difficulties. The obstructing factors were a) guidance and counseling teachers did not have offline meeting hours in classroom to implement guidance and counseling activities, b) guidance and counseling teachers were difficult to communicate with students in outside school as face-to-face when students had problems.
