Abstract
Memorizing the Qur'an (Tahfidzul Qur'an) is an activity that is not only done by adults. In the contemporary era, many young childrens who are still in elementary school, memorize the Qur'an both in madrasas and in Islamic boarding schools. However, there are also formal schools that provide Tahfidzul Qur'an Program compared to general subjects. Tahfidul Quran Asukarti Elementary School is a school-based on the Quran and Sunnah. The learning curriculum used is 60% tahfidz lessons and 40% general lessons supported by extracurricular activities. The imbalance of calculations between general lessons and tahfidz is one thing that deserves to be discussed, so this paper focuses on memorization method is used in the learning system. The study was devoted to 2nd grade students as the first batch at SDTQ As-Surkati after further research was carried out on the tahfidz learning method used, namely auditory focusing on hearing. In particular, this paper discusses effectiveness of the memorization method applied at SDTQ As-Surkati, with the interview method with the principal, tahfidz teachers, guardians of students, students, and knowledge literacy about the auditory method. In addition, several factors that influence the success of this method are also presented at the end of this study. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with scientific analysis. With this research, it is expected to provide good input to the memorizers, especially in SDTQ As-Surkati so that methods that are still considered lacking, can be improved with effective methods of course contributing to the progress of the Tahfidzul Qur'an Program at SDTQ As-Surkati.
