Commitment to Entering the Global Stage, UIN Salatiga Holds IICARE

SALATIGA- Salatiga State Islamic University held the International Interdisciplinary Conference and Research Expo (IICARE). The activity with the theme Ethical Implications of Globalization in Educational Policies and National Curricula was held for three days, Friday-Sunday (5-7/1). The activity, which is a collaboration between UIN Salatiga and the Institute of Cross Cultural Studies & Academic Exchange, was opened directly by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Institutional Development at UIN Salatiga, Prof. Muh. Saerozi, M.Ag.
"This activity is a form of UIN Salatiga's commitment to entering the global arena and is an application of PTKIN development values (accreditation, internalization and digitalization). "Apart from that, IICARE is a means to increase the competitiveness of UIN Salatiga so that it can be more advanced than others," he said. Furthermore, Prof. Saerozi also expressed his appreciation to all participants who came from within and outside the country; starting from Tulungagung, Malaysia, India, to Finland.
Chair of the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) UIN Salatiga and the activities committee, Hammam, Ph.D hopes that IICARE can add color to interdisciplinary research within UIN Salatiga in particular and on the global stage in general. "Hopefully the research and publications produced through IICARE can be the best," he added.

On this occasion, research presentations were held by material presenters both in person and online. Material presenters who attended online included: Prof. He Chuan (China), Prof. Dr. J.Randy Groves (Ferris State University), and Prof. Dr. Don Habibi (University of North Carolina, Wilmington, USA).
Meanwhile, the speakers who attended directly were: Prof. Dr. Rizwanur Rahman (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India), Prof. Dr. Ngainun Naim (UIN Tulungagung), Prof. Dr. Zaimuarifuddin Shukri Nordin (University of Malaysia Sarawak), Prof. Dr. Tommi Lethonen (Vaaza University Finland) and Prof. Dr. Kishore Chakrabarti (University of Notre Dame, USA).
